Sasha McGlothin

Sasha was born in Missouri but raised in Texas. She went to Abilene high school where she grew to love volleyball and exceled at the sport. At Abilene High she was a 3 year letter winner in volleyball, first team all-District and all area in 2004 and 2005. MVP in volleyball for two year, and named most athletic in 2006. She received a scholarship to Middle Tennessee State. Her breakout year was 2007 as a sophomore when she helped bring her team to the sweet 16, but fell short to BYU. Sasha sustained two ACL injuries but came back her senior year and finished career ranked sixth in MT history in block per set. Later Sasha moved to Florida to raise her family, where she worked as both a club and high school coach. She coached at Steinbrenner high school along with Tampa Elite coaching there littles and 13-16 teams. In April 2016 she made the Women,s  AA Professional Florida  Wave Team, where she got the opportunity to play in Orlando, and the team received 3rd in Gold. Sasha loves Florida and she is excited to join the Tampa Bay Raptors this 2016-2017 season.
