We dedicate this page to our beloved Raptor Family that have received their wings

John Teifer

John Teifer joined the Tampa Bay Raptors in the fall of 2018. He came to us with a wealth of volleyball experience having been in leadership or Director's rolls at numerous clubs such as NVVA, VA Elite, Epic VBC, Sunwest VBC, Long Island Big Apple VBC and serving in assistant positions at LIU-Southhampton, San Diego State and Penn State. In addition he played volleyball at the "AA" level and coached professionally in France. John was known to be one of the best technical coaches around on a national level and he helped hundreds of players move on to the collegiate or professional level. John was also a US Navy veteran having been a member of the SEALS. We miss presence and his special sense of humor.

Sejla Sutkovic

Sejla Sutkoviic joined the Raptors in 2010. She was born in Bosnia and came to the USA in 1998 when her family fled the war. Sejla played volleyball and basketball in high school and for volleyball was named player with the most heart and most valuable player. She also won the basketball Regional Championship MVP award. Sejla was awarded a scholarship to go to NCAA division II WVU TECH (WV) to play basketball and volleyball. She was team captain for Basketball and Volleyball and won the Most Valuable Player award. Sejla also played soccer and tennis in college. Sejla had a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Minor in Athletic Coaching Education. She also coached middle school basketball and served as a mentor to 10 – 15 students. Sejla had the biggest heart and was love by all who knew her. Her presence has been missed but she left a lasting impression on us all.
