Mercedyz Mitchell
Coach

Mercedyz Mitchell is a native of Tampa and a King High School Alumni.  She was a setter on the varsity volleyball team all 4 years at King. While at King High School she was a four sport varsity athlete, qualifying for district competition in all four sports her senior year and making three Regional appearances that same year for volleyball, basketball and swimming.  She was awarded the Rose Diaz Award by the Hillsborough County Officials Association, named Female Athlete of the Year from TBO Sports, Joan Falsone Female Athlete of the Year, Marine Corps Scholar Athlete in addition to other senior awards for the class of 2015.  She was a part of the District Champion and Regional finalist team in 2014.

After high school Mercedyz went on to play college volleyball at Ave Maria University where she helped the team achieve the best record in school history.  After graduating from college a full year early, she returned to the Tampa area.  She served as a "specialist" and "guest" coach for the Tampa Bay Raptors.  She is a former lifeguard with the City of Tampa and serves as a volleyball Official.

Mercedyz is the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at King High School, JV Head Coach for Brooks DeBartolo Boy's Volleyball along with being a Head Coach with Tampa Bay Raptors since the 2018-2019 club season. Mercedyz is also the official Videographer for the Sarasota Metropolis, the professional soccer team from Sarasota.
